These job roles may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working remotely. This is dependent on trials requirements where attendance in the office will be required.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
This is a busy role directly reporting to the DD IR35 lead in the corporate governance team who provides a service to DD hiring managers and commercial, using the government online CEST tool, to determine the IR35 status for contractual engagements.

It will include acting as cover for the IR35 lead in times of absence, running a review programme on current IR35 assessments to understand any material changes and approving contractor site ID passes currently hosted on remedy.

Responsibilities include:

- Lead on the IR35 mandated review programme determining if existing determinations have altered.
- Assist IR35 lead with undertaking business as usual IR35 tax compliance reviews aligning with legislation.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate management information. Maintain accurate detail of all DD contractors, liaising with appropriate business managers to clarify detail when necessary.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and assist on developing and implementing IR35 across DD which enhances business awareness, knowledge and skills that build broad capability and knowledge.
- When required provide high quality, timely advice, guidance, and active assistance on IR35 to assist decision-making and operational effectiveness supporting the higher executive officer.
- Assist wider team as necessary in corporate governance and assurance activities.

It is essential that you have strong written and oral communication skills, along with knowledge of how to use excel effectively.

**Person specification**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a friendly disposition, possessing good communication skills with a willingness to learn and have the ability to pick up new concepts quickly.

You will need to be confident and able to work under pressure whilst always remaining polite and courteous and will need to have the ability to use a degree of initiative, and the ability to retain information to prioritise daily duties.
