Training Area Operative

Job Introduction
Landmarc Support Services currently have an exciting opportunity for a Training Area Operative to join the team at West Tofts Camp, Norfolk

As the Training Area Operative your main responsibilities will be to ensure that the Training Estate facilities and ranges are fit for purpose, maintaining a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.

Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of training area operative ranges are to ensure that the training estate facilities and ranges are fit for purpose in accordance with the allocation, NTEP and ensure compliance with customer requirements

Key responsibilities
- Attend Stanta or Thetford ranges to raise/lower range flags and open/lock gates as and when required.
- Handover / take back of facilities and or ranges with service users and

completing the relevant handover/takeback documentation.

Further duties will include:

- Manufacturing and deploying targets.
- Housekeeping.
- Driving and operating fleet vehicles.
- Report and deal with unauthorised persons on the Training Area Estate.
- To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective training area delivery.
- Direct, support and advise training estate users both civilian and military.

**To complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems.**

UK Driving Licence
- Knowledge of Health and Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Experience as a range/ training area user. (not essential)
- Experience of communicating with customers.
- Basic labouring, caretaking and housekeeping skills.
- Ability to complete documentation.

**Basic IT skills.**
