Family Care Group is seeking a dedicated **Placements Coordinator** to play a pivotal role in ensuring children and young people have access to safe and supportive residential and educational services.
**About the Role**:
As a Placements Coordinator, you'll contribute to a first-class service, working closely with local authorities, social workers, caseworkers, children's homes, and educational institutions. You'll manage and coordinate referrals efficiently, ensuring each child is placed in an environment that best meets their needs. Your role is essential in maximizing opportunities for safe placements, supporting the Residential Operations Manager, Registered Managers, Head Teachers, and other team members.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Referral Management**: Handle initial referrals from local authorities, identifying and coordinating appropriate placements in residential and educational settings.
- ** Information Management**: Maintain and update information systems, ensuring all records on children's placements are current and accurate.
- ** Liaison & Communication**: Act as the primary liaison with local authorities, social workers, and educational professionals, ensuring all referrals are managed with professionalism and sensitivity.
- ** Administrative Support**: Oversee documentation and contractual requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- ** Data Monitoring**: Produce reports on referral trends, supporting continuous service improvement and informing senior management.
- ** Service Promotion**: Represent and market Family Care services to local authorities, helping expand our network and increase placement opportunities.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Experience in children's services (excluding nursery settings)
- Knowledge of safeguarding and statutory regulations applicable to fostering, residential homes, and education
**Skills & Attributes**
- Strong IT and data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Decision-making ability under pressure
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
**Other Requirements**
- Full driving license
- Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children
- Flexibility and willingness to develop professionally
