Community Fundraiser

Location: Dorset Mind office in Bournemouth, remote working and across Dorset
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

**Salary**: £30,712.50

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and driven team player to join our income generation team as Dorset Minds Community & Events Fundraiser.

If you are a team player and have extensive and proven experience in community fundraising and/or organising community events this may be the perfect role.

As the Community Fundraiser you will:

- hold excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- enjoy and thrive on engaging local communities to help raise crucial funds
- be a team player joining a strong and supportive team
- hold strong organisational & planning skills
- enjoy setting and meeting targets as part of a team effort to make a difference
- be passionate about mental health awareness in the community

Key responsibilities:

- develop and manage existing relationships between Dorset Mind and local supporters already providing funding for the charity
- develop and lead the charity’s calendar of fundraising events as part of a target led focus for the team
- develop, manage and market opportunities that build Dorset Mind’s relationships with local communities and individuals
- develop, manage and work with the team to market a programme of flagship events and community fundraising activities
- manage the relationships with people who fundraise for Dorset Mind, to build a loyal and engaged group of supporters
- develop and maximise income from these areas of fundraising, including looking for new opportunities to increase income
- be a champion of community fundraising, influencing and inspiring key internal and external stakeholders to support activities created to grow this area of fundraising
- effectively build and manage relationships with colleagues across the charity

You must have a clean driving licence and use of a car. You will also be able to work some weekends and evenings, TOIL will be given.
