The Security Officer will be responsible for permitting access to the Port along with checking the port buildings at various points during the day.
Role requirements:
- The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that consistently high standards of customer service are delivered within the security service.
- The job requires extensive communication with port tenants, visitors and employees, including the passing of routine information, e.g. giving directions, receiving instructions and issuing vehicle passes
- The post holder will need to respond to incidents relating to security of the Port as required
- The post holder will monitor CCTV in compliance with GDPR.
- An excellent attitude to Health and Safety.
- A strong team player.
- A self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Full driving licence is required for role.
- Previous marine background with a solid knowledge of a port would be advantageous.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
