Westbank Outdoor Project, Jeanfield Road, Perth
We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and innovative Outdoor Early Childhood Practitioner who has a strong understanding of and passion for the delivery of high quality outdoor play and learning within a fun, safe and inclusive outdoor environment.
The ELC Westbank Outdoor Project is located off Jeanfield Road in North Perth and aims to provide children aged 3-5 living in the area with access to natural spaces beyond the boundaries of their ELC setting which will enrich their learning and wellbeing.
This job is based outdoors and will require some heavier lifting. You will be required to work 45 weeks of the year. The site will be closed for ELC 2 weeks at Christmas and remain open the 1st week of October, 1st week of Easter, the first 3 weeks of the summer and for some public and occasional holidays. You will be expected to take your holidays according to this pattern.

Are you a highly motivated practitioner, able to take responsibility to enthusiastically drive forward this new and exciting outdoor learning project?

You should hold an appropriate qualification e.g. SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF level 7 equivalent or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People), as well as have the eligibility to register with SSSC.
Ideally you should have completed or be willing to work towards Forest Kindergarten Training or equivalent. Ideally you should hold Baby & Child First Aid Training and Child Protection Training and be willing to work towards or already hold outdoor equivalents.
