**Principal Parking Officer**:

- **Hours of work**: Full time, 37 hours per week
- **A Standard DBS is required for this role.**

**Your main accountabilities will be**:

- To ensure Parking schemes meet with the Council’s commitment to Best Value and the delivery of a high-quality service to our customers.
- Prepare CAD drawings for proposed schemes and consultation documents.
- Analysing consultations responses, writing reported with recommended decisions.
- To contribute to the management of parking development in support of Local Transport Plan.
- Co-ordinate work programmes and budgets and establish priorities.
- To prepare and cost annual capital programmes and budget bids, including works and fees, for the Network service area, including relevant input to service and operational plans.
- To prepare detailed briefs; including completing reports for approval of schemes for Director sign off.
- To attend and represent the department on parking related matters.
- To participate and advise on parking related issues in corporate working groups and contribute to the implementation of the Council’s sustainable community strategy.
- To organise and carry out consultations with the community; liaise with the Tenants and Residents Federation and other community groups on options and implications of proposed parking schemes.
- Attending site to collate information to transfer onto CAD drawing. Extensive knowledge on parking legislation, TSRGD and traffic regulation orders.
