Are you looking for an opportunity as a HR Advisor? Our client, one of Europe's largest retailers, are keen to secure someone on a 12 month contract. The ideal person for the role will love what they do and be passionate about the service and expertise theydeliver as a business. The role will report into the HR Manager and will provide comprehensive support to the business in a full generalist HR role. A key part of the position will be dealing with ER matters, so it is preferred that you have experience withdisciplinary & grievance matters, long term absence & performance management. The role is ideally located close to major motorway links in Warrington and offers a competitive salary of up to GBP30,000 pa.
What will you be doing as a HR Advisor?
- Providing a commercially focused and timely response to all HR queries, through to completion, ensuring they are complying with legislation and in line with all HR policies and procedures and values
- Coordinate ER matters including providing advice to line managers on Company policies/procedures and in respect of disciplinary & grievance matters, long term absence & performance management
- Assist at disciplinary/grievance hearings
- Produce ER administration
- References - respond to all reference requests from third parties
- Monitor, review and coordinate all absence matters, identifying trends, ensuring Company processes and procedures are followed, arranging Doctor/Occupational Health reports and attending welfare meetings where required
- Project work - as and when necessary to meet the requirements of the HR strategy
- Co-ordinate and conduct inductions for Retail and Leisure colleagues
- Co-ordinate employee benefits
- Oversee company car fleet and grey fleet drivers
- Assist the HR Manager in conducting the quarterly worker review for retail staff
- Co-ordinate Exit Interview process across the business and assist the HR Manager in producing management information
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

- CIPD L3 qualified ideally, working up to L5
- Experience of working in a generalist HR or ER role that includes advising and coaching senior management
- Experience of working in a fast-paced multi-site environment
- Previous retail HR experience preferred
- Clear communication skills, ability to quickly influence and impact change
- Sound knowledge of employment law
- Strong pragmatic commercial approach
- Organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage time effectively
