Job Summary:- Are you ready to make the world a better, safer, more sustainable place?- If so, CSA Group is looking for a technical expert (Principal Technical Lead) to provide technical leadership to our global network of engineers and technicians, as we evaluate and certify for safety, to Energy efficiency regulations for electrical appliances.

CSA Group has an immediate opportunity for a technical expert (Principal Technical Lead) for Energy efficiency regulations for electric appliances. This position will be responsible for providing technical leadership and will act as the senior technical lead in our Technical Support and Oversight group, specifically for Energy efficiency regulations for electric appliances, among all CSA Group area offices and Network Partners (16 countries and over 30 facilities).

**Responsibilities**:
- Be responsible for energy efficiency regulations for electric appliances.- Support Operations activities involving accreditation in SCC, IAS, OSHA, etc. for standards within your assigned areas.- Conduct internal audits of CSA Group laboratories and technical staff to ensure a consistent and high level of quality.- Support our networks and forums to gather and exchange technical knowledge.

Also, you will be heavily involved in reviewing, assessing and training staff, providing effective dispute resolution, resolving technical issues and providing interpretation of technical requirements (making the complex seem easy).

Refrigerator, Refrigerator-Freezers and Coolers;

Miscellaneous Refrigeration Products.

Clothes Washers.

Clothes Dryers (Gas and Electric).

Dishwashers.

Ovens and Cooktops (Gas and Electric).

Microwave Ovens.

Commercial Laundry Machines.

Commercial Refrigerators and Freezers.

Vending machines.

Laboratory Grade Refrigerator and Freezers and

Water Coolers

HVAC Products:
Room Air-conditioners.

Portable Air-conditioners.

Split system central Air-conditioners and Heat Pumps.

Single Packaged central Air-conditioners and Heat Pumps.

Packaged Terminal Air-conditioners.

Large Air-conditioners and

Dehumidifiers- Must have proven analytical skills and technical experience with Electric appliances and their associated energy efficiency regulations.- Experience in standards development activities.

**Skills**:
- Must have exceptional interpersonal, communication (both written and oral), and presentation skills to make complex ideas and concepts sound simple.- Strong training skills must be evident since training of staff and passing along knowledge and experiences are critical elements of this position.- Strong leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization in a collaborative fashion.- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills are necessary.- Must be flexible and perform well in a team environment under pressure, with multiple projects and deadlines.- Must have demonstrated competence for the position and commitment to technical excellence.- Ability to interact with regulators, clients, and other area agency staff when participating in the standards development process- Ability to work with Network Members as part of the audit and training function- Computer proficiency required-
- Must be willing to travel globally.
