**Maintenance Assistant**

**Lochside House Hotel, Lodges and Spa**

**Full-Time - (5 days out 7 with occasional weekend availability)**

We are looking for a hands-on and enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Lochside House Hotel, Lodges & Spa. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the smooth operation of a luxury hotel.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks correctly and efficiently ensuring a safe environment for guests, visitors and employees. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be an effective communicator and possess excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations. You will be organised and react promptly and efficiently as requested to meet the needs of the business.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Carry out general maintenance tasks across the hotel, lodges, and spa, including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all facilities are kept in excellent working order.
- Support the hotel management team by responding promptly to reactive repair requests.
- Maintain hotel and maintenance areas to keep them clean, organised, and safe.
- Ensure the hotel grounds are kept clean, tidy, and well maintained all year round, including managing bins and waste disposal.
- Perform hot tub and pool plant testing as required, ensuring water quality and safety standards are met.
- Support other departments with day-to-day duties where needed, such as assisting housekeeping with laundry or room setup.
- Occasionally travel to other RAD Hotel Group venues to provide maintenance support.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Some previous experience in a maintenance or trades role is preferable.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, can-do attitude.
- Flexibility is required as the role may involve some shift and weekend work.
- Drivers Licence Required.
