If you are interested in creating a new function within a busy IT department that is rising to meet the needs of an evolving business then this could be the right role for you. As a CIO Office Communication and Reporting Lead you will support IT to drive forward improvements in IT. We are looking to build and operate a single ‘pane of glass’ view straddling governance, risk, progress reporting, service operations and people dimensions across the group department.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a key part in developing and implementing robust reporting that provides real insight into what is happening in IT, which can be used alongside other formats to communicate to a range of stakeholders. This role will help drive the maturity of the IT function, with greater visibility both inside and outside of IT on performance, delivery and opportunities alongside improved staff engagement and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include
- Coordinate and compile a range of communications for colleagues within IT and the wider business.
- Create and run a comprehensive suite of reports that accurately reflect IT accomplishments, challenges, plans etc. Outputs that provide a real opportunity for IT to focus effort more effectively and efficiently to deliver best outcomes.
- Generate compelling and persuasive presentation materials that are accessible to a range of stakeholders
- A critical and independent thinker you will be expected to propose improvements and produce prototypes for consideration in both communications and reporting
- Work vertically and horizontally across the Group, collaborating with other internal teams to challenge, share best practice and lessons learnt.
- Be an active participant in Risk, HR and other regulatory practices within the group

- Previous work experience in a similar role (business analyst, executive assistant, consultant, reporting lead) within, or adjacent to, a corporate IT department is essential
- Experience developing reports and communications for a range of stakeholder groups is essential
- Experience of communicating effectively at all levels in an organisation up to C-level is essential
- Strong knowledge of data visualisation and presentation knowledge
- how to get messages across effectively to a range of audiences is essential
- Knowledge of robust and broad understanding of IT, department structures and processes is essential
- Strong capability to create and critic communication messages to get points across to a variety of audiences is essential
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills are essential
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential
- Analytical ability with experience to presentation findings appropriately is essential
- Expert level ability of the Microsoft office suite is essential
