We are looking for Senior Adventure Care Workers to join our new Assessments home based in Burton on Trent. Our Assessment Home staff provide trauma-informed, therapeutic services through outdoor and adventure activities, helping children and young people gain stability, develop resilience and facilitate transition.

We think that our people are the best in the industry - if you want to join us, there has never been a better time What will the role of a Senior Adventure Support Worker will involve? The welfare of our children and young people is paramount within our homes. Our Assessments Homes provide shorter term placements (usually twelve weeks), during which time we ensure that all of our young person's day-to-day needs are met, that safeguarding is paramount and that we provide tailored, focused and activity based support based on individual care plans. Role responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
- Forming effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies
- Ensuring the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, adhering to the cleaning rota system and encouraging the young people to participate as appropriate
- Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from the team and Managers
- Maintaining and promoting residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by us and Ofsted
- Meeting the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximizing opportunities for their development
- Providing support to the Registered Manager/Deputy Manager whilst on shift
- Supporting the wider team (to include rota management, staff supervisions, training and mentoring of new starters and general support and guidance)

What we are looking for from you:

- Level 3 (or above) Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (essential) or 50% minimum complete (we will support in funding and completing the diploma)
- Experience in residential children's care (essential)
- Supervisory experience (essential)
- Passion to help nurture young people
- A real love for adventure and outdoor activity qualifications (preferred)
- Flexibility to spend 4 days on site (on a 4-on, 6-off rota)

- A fantastic annual salary of £39,762 to £42,102, based on a pay rate of £13.30 to £14.30 per hour for days (depending on qualifications held) and working 12 sleep-nights per month on average (at £60 per sleep night)
