Head of Investment Propositions

Reporting to the Director of Propositions, the Head of Investment Propositions is a member of the Heritage Propositions Senior Leadership Team. The role holder is responsible for the investment outcomes delivered to 1 million customers with £15bn invested in our range of Heritage workplace and individual pension and life products.

The Head of Investment Propositions sets the strategic direction and leads delivery to ensure Heritage investment propositions continue to deliver good outcomes for our customers and comply with regulatory expectations such as the new Consumer Duty whilst achieving our commercial objectives. The role holder will work closely with colleagues in functions across the business, including investment, risk and change functions, and will take the lead on propositional governance at senior and executive committees including Prudential’s Independent Governance Committee.

The Head of Investment Propositions is supported by a team of 5 Investment Proposition Managers and Assistant Investment Propositions Managers.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
- To set the strategic direction for the Heritage investment propositions.- To lead the oversight of the Heritage investment propositions to ensure they continue to deliver good outcomes to customers.- To ensure the investment proposition complies with all relevant regulation and remains within Prudential’s risk tolerance.- To manage the commercial impact of the investment proposition in line with Heritage Propositions strategy.- To present the investment proposition and any proposals relating to it to senior and executive committees.- To manage the relationship with members of the Independent Governance Committee in relation to investment matters.- To deliver oversight, change and a range of BAU activities through the Investment Propositions Team.

Key Knowledge:
- Knowledge and experience of life and pension investment propositions.- Technical investment knowledge including financial instruments and markets, economic and market dynamics, unit-linked collective investment funds, performance and risk measurement.- Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry, its regulators and the current regulatory environment.- Knowledge of Environmental, social and governance factors and regulation impacting our investment propositions.

Desirable:
- Relevant qualification e.g. Investment Management Certificate or CFA

- Strong team leader able to set clear priorities, delegate appropriately, provide coaching and feedback- Strategic and innovative thinker, with ability to contribute to the development of the strategic direction, priorities and plans- Proven experience in building and developing networks across the business and stakeholder management at senior levels.- Experience of delivering change programmes from a propositions perspective- Self-starter, excellent under pressure, results focused - able to identify opportunities and take initiative and respond rapidly and flexibly to urgent priorities that arise on an ad-hoc basis.
