The Role:
Based within Human Resources and reporting to the UK Employee Relations Lead this role will be one of three ER Case Adviser roles providing support to line managers based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Under the supervision of the UK Employee Relations Lead provide advice, guidance and coaching to Managers, HR Business Partners and the wider HR community on a wide range of Employee Relations issues including:
- Absence Management
- Disciplinary
- Grievance
- Performance and;
- All other ER matter than may arise
- Actively contribute to the culture within the Employee Relations team of always learning from the cases and matters that arise with a lens of how we can improve colleague experience, whether than be policy and process change, or education and training for line managers
- Contribute to effective partnerships with functions like Core Compliance and Whistleblowing to ensure the seamless transition of investigative activities where required
- Contribute to the development, refresh and implementation of policies and procedures in line with current employment legislation, labour market trends and the Employee Value Proposition M&G is seeking to offer to colleagues
- Provide project support to the Head of Employee Relations and UK Employee Relations Lead on large-scale change programmes as required
- Undertake and/or support designated Employee Relations projects/initiatives as directed by the Head of Employee Relations or Employee Relations Lead
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience of managing and resolving conflict
- Experience of coaching a broad range of stakeholders on ER matters
- Experience of managing relationships
- Experience of communicating effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
- Experience of recognising employment related risk and demonstrating a track record of appropriate escalation
- Knowledge of employment legislation including ACAS Code of Practices
- Knowledge of both collective and individual consultation processes
- Knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks and the FCA/PRA Conduct Rules
