The role
We’re looking for a forward thinking Accounts Payable Administrator to join our scaling business. This is a brand new exciting opportunity for someone to make the role their own, with a chance to automate and innovate. The main purpose of this role will be to ensure all supplier invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner. You’ll also be in charge of the petty cash process for our Branch network.
Key Responsibilities
To support the Accounts Payable Controller with the following but not limited to:
Process supplier invoices
Create and process supplier payment files
Log and process all incoming / outgoing post
Log and action all queries from suppliers and colleagues
Manage the petty cash process (via prepaid debit cards) for our Branch network
Other ad hoc activities at the direction of the Management Accountant
What we’re looking for
Preferably someone with experience working in an Accounts Payable function
Someone comfortable communicating with people at all levels
Advanced with Microsoft Office and Google suite products
Some experience using a recognised Finance System software
Someone keen to build an effective and credible relationships both internally and externally
Someone to work collaboratively with others sharing ideas and information at all times
Effectively build trust with a consistent approach between actions and words
Conscientious with high attention to detail
You will need to be able to be office based in Colchester 2-3 days per week
