As our business grows, we are constantly refining our offering and developing our trading models. With this growth we have identified the need for a Commercial and Insight Director to join the business.
**What you’ll be doing**
We want to make the most of our multi-million-pound business investments and allow them to operate in the most efficient and profitable manners. This is a commercial role providing insight and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) based on current and historic business data. Working in a stand-alone role, you will be equally comfortable analysing internal and external data sources and business partnering the SLT to drive meaningful improvements to revenue and customer numbers.
**Your main Responsibilities**:
**Internal**
- Analyse business data to understand the opportunities to drive improvements in revenue and customer numbers.
- Inform the corporate sales and pricing strategies.
- Provide data to support decision making on trading space, range and activity management, and stock exit plans.
- Support in the production of business cases for Capex plans with data analysis to inform ROI and evaluate effectiveness post implementation.
- Effective and proactive analysis of business revenue lines
- Support with new build team and building out a Revenue model for new sites.
- Support on all business CAPEX projects to act as the conduit between generator and Exec team.
- Forecast revenue based on both business and market trends to inform the broader forecasting tool.
**External**
- Analysis of trend, data, competitor, and insight analysis.
- Understand external data impacting the business and educate and influence the SLT on how improvements can be made (e.g. market share).
- Continue to monitor competitive advantage which would impact the Gravity business / business model. Product & Pricing
- Create a model that allows the business to track footfall against competitors using terrain (Market Share)
**About you**
- You are an excellent communicator and influencer; you might find yourself having to educate people with preconceived ideas.
- You can coach, share your knowledge, and give a better understanding of your data to those who are less versed in these areas.
- You are a proven business partner, bringing with you your specialism and sharing your skills and knowledge.
- You are an advanced user of Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint
You will be based within a commutable distance from Wakefield, the expectation is you will be in head office around 4 days a week so living a commutable distance is a must.
