**_Key Essentials:_**
- As Commercial Director you will report to the Regional Director whilst working closely with the senior leadership team
- You will be required to manage commercial performance across various contracts; ensuring that risks are managed, payment received on time whilst achieving target margins
- Produce regular commercial reports and cash forecasts
- Ensure weekly and monthly CVRs are completed and regularly scrutinised
- Provide support to the commercial team to implement WIP reduction and margin improvement plans
- Oversee contractual terms and guidance
- Oversee commercial performance against previous tenders including targets, allowances and budgets
- Act as a key point of commercial contact with clients
- Assist in implementing new systems / best practice to improve efficiency and performance whilst minimising risk
- Monitor compliance to corporate and legal guidelines
- Oversee tender assessments including producing detailed reviews of potential new contracts
- On-board and nurture a team of commercial staff; ensuring training and development is carried out regularly

**_Requirements:_**
- As Commercial Director you ideally be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- Previous commercial management experience in the utilities contracting industry is essential
- Excellent understanding of CVR’s, subcontractor procurement and NEC forms of contract are essential
