SECURITY OFFICER VACANCY
POSITION - Security Officer
PAYE or Self Employed with UTR Number

Saturday 9am - 5pm

£10.00 PAYE or £12.00 UTR

Job Purpose:
Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and the companies property in line with current legislation, ensuring the best customer service levels to improve client experience.

**Job Description**:

- Maintain a security presence at all times in order to create a safe and secure environment for all staff and property on a local education establishment
- To respond to all emergency calls and support appropriately.
- To have an onsite presence at all times, being vigilant, proactive and responsive.
- To proactively organise day-to-day planning schedules.
- To comply with all SIA licensing requirements.
- To provide on-site information and local information to team and customers.
- To maintain the security log in a professional and factual manner.
- Assisting with the effective shut down of the complex on an evening/night, ensuring that safety and customer service standards are maintained.
- To report potential accidents and incidents

Person Specification:

- Hold current SIA (or equivalent) certification.
- Have outstanding customer service skills.
- Ideally have experience of conflict resolution.
- Achievement focussed.
- Strong communicating and influencing skills.
- Experience of working successfully as part of a wider team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Desire to strive for success and achieve more.

SECURITY OFFICER ROLE
- Outside Control of entering car park during peak times ensuring parking adequately, visitors direction, staff direction, health and safety, safe parking.
- Controlling the students on entry, checking ID’s, giving direction, visitors signing in, instructing students.
- Hourly monitoring of outside site, completing specified documentation records and reporting any issues.
- Hourly monitoring of inside site campus ,completing specified documentation and reporting any issues.
- Ensuring the Health & Safety of the site inside and out.
- Reporting any housekeeping that needs to be dealt with.
- During breaks times and classes finishing controlling the students outside in designated areas.
- Supporting reception staff on the Operations Hub.
- Dealing with any physical/vocal disturbances amongst students, calmly and professionally.
- Friday is an off day, no security required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: Up to £10.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends only
