**Safeguarding Administrator**

If so, we would love to hear from you as we have a vacancy for a part time Safeguarding Administrator to join our team to support the Safeguarding lead and deputy lead GPs.

Our group is part of Our Health Partnership, one of the UK’s biggest GP partnerships, with the aim to provide better healthcare for patients and better support for GP practices in the Midlands area.

Lordswood Medical Group has:

- Three sites, Lordswood House, Quinborne Medical Practice and Quinton Family Practice. Cover will be required at all three sites.
- A team of 9 Partners and 7 Salaried GPs as well as 2 in house Physician Associates, 4 Paramedics (who cover the majority of home visits), an ANP, a CPN, 4 Clinical Pharmacists and a very supportive team of Nurses, HCA’s and Phlebotomists
- An excellent skilled admin team and highly supportive management team working across all three sites
- Is part of a forward thinking, supportive PCN with a well established and rapidly growing clinical team
- Partners and Salaried GPs as trainers to students and registrars

**Job Description & Person Specification**

**Job Title: Safeguarding Administrator**

**Reports To: Safeguarding Lead/Business Manager**

**Hours: Part time**

**Salary:£27,375 (pro-rata)**

**Job Summary**

To carry out the role and responsibilities of a Safeguarding Co-ordinator for Lordswood Medical Group.

**Responsibilities**:
The post holder will work to ensure a high quality safeguarding service is delivered to all Lordswood Medical
Group staff and patients. This will include providing advice, support and relevant information to a multitude of professionals, enabling the safeguarding team to assess the most appropriate plan of action for each individual case reviewed.

**Main Duties**

Through liaison, research and dialogue identify and collate relevant health information to add to multi
- disciplinary risk assessment discussions and Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings (MDT’s).

Under supervision of the Safeguarding Lead, provide timely and accurate case conference reports and health safeguarding reports as requested, as part of the Bsol ICB’s safeguarding children’s board protocol.

Attend key meetings as required, such as the practice Multi
- Disciplinary Team Meetings (MDT’s).

Collate accurate minutes of team meetings that are attended. Accurately record minutes onto patient records and safeguarding information database.

Provide support and guidance to all Lordswood Medical Group staff - with support from the
Safeguarding Lead.

Under the guidance of the Safeguarding Lead, proactively review case files for individual patients following Bsol ICB’s agreed policies and procedures.

Ensure patient records are maintained, complying and adhering to the practice record keeping systems within Lordswood Medical Group.

Obtaining informed and written consent prior to any information being shared with professionals outside of the Lordswood Medical Group - unless this meets the requirements within the safeguarding policy.

Respond to requests for health information in a timely and professional manor.

Contribute to the collection of data for safeguarding metrics that accurately reflects the safeguarding activity for the group.

Participate in audit activity as required.

Manage and maintain the safeguarding information database, to ensure cases are reviewed in line with agreed timescales.

Raise any safeguarding concerns directly to the Safeguarding Lead or Deputy.

Contribute to the delivery of safeguarding information and training for Lordswood Medical Group staff.

Ability to travel to and to work at all three sites within Lordswood Medical Group.
