Join to apply for the Safeguarding Officer role at Star Academies. Assist lead professionals on issues relating to Child Protection (CP), Looked After Children (LAC), Child in Need (CIN) or other safeguarding plans. Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), as a Deputy DSL, with day-to-day safeguarding responsibilities. Action decisions made by the Principal/SLT regarding CP/LAC. Act as a liaison with Social Services and other agencies regarding CP/LAC. Maintain administrative systems related to CP and LAC. Provide operational support for pupils at risk, focusing on CP and LAC. Address day-to-day CP or LAC concerns in collaboration with the DSL. Monitor and support the referral and assessment processes for early help and intervention. Ensure Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead training is current. Implement strategies to monitor and improve pupil attendance, intervening where necessary. The ability to monitor and create relevant intervention for key pupils. The ability to write effective and detailed reports.
