**Senior Compliance Officer - £75,000 - £100,000 salary.**

Based in Chorley, Lancashire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Compliance Officer to join our expanding business. Reporting to the two directors/shareholders, you will be responsible for all aspects of regulatory risk, compliance, data protection and company secretarial duties.

Jarion Ltd is an investment vehicle owned by the two shareholders. Within the firms we control are two FCA authorised insurance brokers, specialising in the provision of Insurance Backed Guarantees for the UK home improvement and renewable energy markets. We have intentions to expand further into the consumer credit market in future years.

The role will be, for a large part, working from home, but will necessitate visiting our various businesses all based around the Chorley area.

**Responsibilities**

Leading all aspects of risk and compliance across our businesses, to ensure they remain compliant with FCA and data protection regulation including:

- The provision of advice and guidance to the Board and associated businesses on FCA and data protection legislation
- Compliance monitoring
- Regulatory reporting
- Liaison with the FCA and ICO
- Reviewing financial promotions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Compliance and Data Protection related training across our businesses
**The successful applicant will demonstrate**:

- Extensive experience working in a senior compliance position, ideally within the general insurance market
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting general insurance together with a sound understanding of the FCA rules, handbooks and data protection regulation
- Ability to analyse and interpret legislation and regulation and provide a clear summary of issues in a non-technical way
- Exemplary attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience
- Strong communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to promote a positive compliance culture and engage collaboratively with colleagues across the business
