Lead Bid Writer
**Location**:
National Position - Predominantly covering but not limited to NW, WM, Yorkshire and the NE regions
**Position Purpose**:
The focus of the position is to produce professionally written tender content to effectively secure new contract wins.
You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive but accurate tender submissions that professionally and concisely answers questions asked. You will have a strong understanding of policy and funding requirements.

**The salary will be iro £40k pro rata working 80 - 100 hours per month**
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
- Rebidding for existing contracts and growth cases timely and effectively
- Identifying and leading on tenders for new funding contract opportunities
- Ensuring registers and bidding portals are kept up to date with B-Skill current offer and Company information.
- Collating and maintaining (on SharePoint) an up-to-date bidding pack of all essential policies and information required for Tenders.
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of all bids and tenders submitted on SharePoint.
- Sourcing and joining effective VFM contract find services so that we are aware when (for example) large Levy paying employers are retendering for apprenticeships. Bidding for Levy Employer contracts (as agreed with joint Head of Operations) to expand our range of apprenticeship employers.
- Presenting contract opportunities to the Directors, Executive and Senior Colleagues for tendering decisions.
- Identifying and evaluating potential partnerships to support B-Skill Strategic Growth Plans.
- You will support with gaining new business to generate additional revenue opportunities outside current funding streams.
- You will undertake safeguarding training to ensure you have a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and the Prevent Duty to promote and improve learner and staff knowledge and help raise their own awareness of the risks of radicalisation and extremism.

- The post holder may be required to undertake any other such responsibilities as are reasonably commensurate with the status of this post.
**Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills Required**
**Experience and Knowledge**
- Experience working in a similar role in a Training & Education organisation.
- Demonstrable track record of securing bids and tenders.
- You will have experience and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams

**Qualifications and Education**
- Educated to A level
