We’re looking for a skilled Bid Writer to produce high-quality proposals and tender submissions. The ideal candidate has experience creating persuasive content across sectors, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with stakeholders. This role suits an experienced B2B Bid Writer seeking career progression and potential development into management. Job Description The Bid Writer is responsible for producing clear, compelling, and high-quality written content for proposals and tender submissions that support business growth. This includes crafting persuasive narratives, gathering key information from internal teams, and ensuring all responses align with client requirements and commercial strategy across public and private sectors, including central government, local government, healthcare, public services, telecoms, energy, and utilities. The Role Report to the Chief Commercial Officer: Work closely with the CCO and senior leadership to ensure written submissions support bid strategy and commercial objectives. Content Creation: Draft and edit high-quality bid responses for ITTs, SSQs, RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and proactive proposals. Collaboration: Work with Business Development, Operations, IT, Finance, and Subject Matter Experts to gather technical and commercial input. Key Responsibilities Deadline Management: Coordinate with contributors and manage schedules to ensure timely delivery of submissions. Tailored Messaging: Customise proposals to reflect client needs and showcase ResQ’s strengths. Bid Process Support: Contribute to bid qualification, content governance, and peer reviews to maintain high standards. Research: Gather data on industries, clients, and competitors to enhance proposal content. Content Library: Maintain and update the bid content library for future use. Compliance & Quality: Adhere to governance processes and participate in reviews to ensure clarity and impact. Reporting: Support pipeline reporting and assist the CCO with updates using Pipedrive CRM. Additional Content: Assist with award submissions, whitepapers, and marketing collateral as required. What You’ll Bring Proven bid writing experience: At least 4 years of experience producing high-quality written content for bids and proposals. Preferred qualifications include a degree in English, Creative Writing, Communication, or Business. APMP Foundation Certification is desirable. Industry knowledge: Understanding of contact centres and/or customer experience is essential. Experience writing for both public and private sector bids is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Commercial awareness and ability to integrate objectives into persuasive responses. Growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
