As the **Accounts Assistant,** you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team of Accountants with all aspects of the business, including the preparation of accounts, self-assessments, tax and VAT returns for a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
You will support the team to provide reliable, timely, and accurate financial information whilst maintaining a personal and tailored approach to individual client requirements.

**What we need from you?**
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Bookkeeping for a variety of small and large clients.
- Posting purchase invoices and sales invoices.
- Matching bank transactions to these to various software.
- Credit Control and managing supplier payments.
- Bank and Credit card reconciliation.
- Preparing the quarterly VAT Returns for each client.

**What you need to succeed?**
- Previous experience in a similar Bookkeeping, Accounts Assistant, or Trainee Accountant role.
- Ideally you will be studying towards AAT, or ACCA, however, this is not essential.
- It would be advantageous to come from a similar chartered accountancy/practice background.
