**Accounts Payable and Receivable Controller**
Management Services (AMS) is an innovative specialist manager of high-quality retirement accommodation with care. The company is part of the multi-award-winning developer, Adlington Retirement Living.
We are seeking an Accounts Payable and Receivable Controller, to work as part of the AMS team at our Head Office.
**Purpose of role**:
**Responsibilities include**:
- Be responsible for the day to day running of the Accounts payable & accounts receivable functions within our accounts team
- To carry out weekly / monthly reconciliations using the property management system / purchase ledger to ensure cleansed data for year-end accounts.
- Producing the AP payment run in accordance with credit terms and sending remittances thereafter.
- Prepare invoices for authorisation and subsequent processing
- Credit card reconciliations
- To assist in navigating a smooth transition into using direct debits and ensure protocol is being followed
- Communicating with our Retirement Communities’ teams to ensure that accounting protocol is being followed and answering any queries they may have
- Negotiating with potential or existing suppliers for future works
- Support the Finance Manager and the team
- To attend meetings as required, with key parties to share information and resolve any client account queries.
- Liaison and coordination with external parties (including accountants, solicitors, directors)
**Key skills and experience**:
- AAT Accounting level 3 or 3 years equivalent experience
- Good team player, yet willing to take personal responsibility for issues
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and hardworking approach
- Good level of excel skills
- MRI Qube experience would be advantageous, but training will be provided
