GTC are part of a family of companies owned by BUUK Infrastructure group and we are currently recruiting for a Head of Operational Management to take overall responsibility for the Management of the 132kV Network Management Systems enabled control room, Operational activities, management of electrical faults and customer contact which are undertaken by the Electricity department. This full time, permanent position is based at our office in Woolpit.
We are looking for someone with a Higher National Certificate in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent and CEng in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. While it is not essential that you have had previous experience within this sector before, you must have excellent communication, influencing, negotiation & interpersonal skills. Training on our systems and the company will be provided.

Responsibilities will include
- The role will include the direct line management of the Control Room Manager & Operational Team Manager, providing strategic direction, guidance, monitoring, and reporting on all aspects of control room & operational activities up to 132kV
- Ensure all Operational policies & processes are adhered to and are in line with correct working practises, legislation, industry requirements, the company health & safety policy & core values.
- Ensuring adherence to the Emergency Response Call Handling and 105 Contracts whilst ensuring compliance with Guaranteed Standards of Performance requirements and related Operational reporting.
- Continuing to support the development of all Control Room & Operational capability up to 132kV, in terms of collaboratively developing training plans and associated systems.
- Ensuring all operational reporting to regulatory bodies is adhered too, along with maintaining & developing relationships ICPs, DNO’s & BUUK stakeholders.
- Assist all BUUK Departmental Managers in development of greater efficiency within the Company to promote continuous improvement to GTC Electrical Operations procedures.
