Our services and operations cover pallet network in East Anglia and full-load distribution across the UK.

We are currently recruiting a **Traffic Operator **at our Woolpit Depot, reporting to the Transport Manager the key focus of the **Traffic Operator **will be to organise the daily routing of general haulage vehicles, prioritising workloads as well as briefing & de-briefing drivers regarding their daily duties and pre-planning work for allocation of loading.

Other responsibilities will include:

- Routing & planning vehicles on a day to day basis including back-loads.
- Building revenue to ensure profitability within fleet and targets are met.
- Daily driver checks to ensure compliance is met.
- Ensure drivers compliance with drivers’ hours, RTD (working time) and tachograph regulations.
- Checking / approving drivers’ time sheets on a weekly basis.
- Managing driver holidays effectively making sure customer needs are met at all times.
- Experience with a General and Container Haulage role is preferred
- Have excellent geographical knowledge to ensure profit is maximized on all vehicles.
- Have excellent customer service skills and have a good knowledge of the transport market.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must have a sound commercial understanding of the general haulage industry.
- A Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and ADR awareness are desirable but not essential

Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm

We are seeking a team player with a flexible work approach, and a passion for providing an excellent service to our customers. On offer is a competitive salary of £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependant on experience.
