**What are you going to do?**

AB Texel UK are a large, well-established agricultural bulk transport company who are currently recruiting for a critical thinking, problem-solving Transport Planner to join our dynamic team.

AB Texel UK Ltd transports agricultural bulk goods, mainly potatoes, to the factory. Our planners play an important part in the process of getting food to the final customers.

At AB Texel UK we understand that in order to perform your work optimally, you need good materials. That is why we have modern equipment. In addition, new employees receive thorough training with us. They are trained and intensively supported and supervised by an experienced AB colleague who can teach them all the tricks of our specific trade. Our new employees only begin to work independently once they have achieved our high standards and built-up sufficient experience. Because only then are these employees are able to call themselves true AB specialists.

As a Transport Planner you will be responsible for planning and executing driver routes according to load, briefing and debriefing drivers as well as working on a reactive basis, resolving any issues that arise during the shift.

You will also be required to carry out the following (this list is not exhaustive)
- Efficiently plan our drivers and the workload.
- Problem solve issues that may arise.
- Work to extremely high levels of compliance.
- Liaise with customers and clients as well as drivers
- Provide out of hours support as part of a rota.

**Who are you?**

Our ideal Transport Planner:
No matter what your experience, if you’ve a transport background with a strong geographical knowledge of the UK and a good understanding of drivers hours / working time directive, you could be the person we’re looking for, to join our growing team.

Ideally you would have
- Previous experience within a transport office, with a good understanding of Transport planning.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- You are able to work well as part of a team and/or on your own initiative.
