Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit a Transport Planner to work on our Peterborough Highway Services contract in Peterborough.

As a Transport Planner you will be part of our Transport Planning Team who are responsible for developing businesses cases and generating the supporting information using traffic models, GIS site surveys etc...

Milestone Infrastructure works in partnership with Peterborough City Council to improve and manage the city's highway as Peterborough Highway Services. The Transport Planning Team works closely with the council to develop business cases and supportive information to initially secure the funding for new projects and programmes. These are then be delivered by design / build teams in Peterborough Highway Services or partner organisations.

**As the Transport Planner your duties & responsibilities will be**:

- Support the Transport Planning Lead and Senior Transport Planners with the delivery of transport planning projects.
- Undertake data analysis, site visits, transport modelling and reporting.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of small transport planning projects and data collection exercises.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within working practices.
- Be actively engaged with the broader Transport Planning community, and share leaning and innovation with the team

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Demonstrable technical skills, including knowledge of transport planning tools such as transport models and GIS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to self-check and correct own work.
- An understanding of the Transport Business Cases and the inputs these require.
- Experience working in client or customer facing roles, and of working as part of a team.
- A degree level qualification in Transport Planning, Maths, Civil Engineering, Geography

**Additional Information**
- The Transport Planner role is part of a career grade, with progression to Senior and Principal positions possible once skill, experience and competencies are attained
- Hybrid working is expected with at least three days a week being office
- Although the position is Peterborough based the post holder may be need to work from other offices from time to time
