Nostell is a busy property just outside of Wakefield. The role of Facilities Assistant is crucial to the visitor welcome experience, here we pride ourselves on being the jewel in Yorkshires crown. As part of the Facilities team, you will love Nostell asmuch as our staff & visitors do, bringing that passion to the work place, working alongside colleagues to deliver the best customer service, bring your can-do attitude. Within the team there will be the opportunity to work alongside volunteers & increase yourunderstanding about the behind the scenes work the National Trust does to keep these special places for ever, for everyone.

**The contract is 520 hours over 12 months, in peak times there may be a requirement to work more than the average hours.**

What it's like to work here This 18th century Palladian house is set within 300-acres of parkland. The ambitious team are focused on making Nostell Priory one of Yorkshire’s most high profile visitor attractions and are looking for creative hard-working people who will bring ideasand energy to the property. The property is situated a short distance from bustling Wakefield, meaning the property offers a rare opportunity to work in the country, but live in the city.

Click here for more information about this location What you'll be doing As the Facilities Assistant, you'll assist with the day to day cleanliness and presentation the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor maintenance ensuring all our facilities arekept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. You’ll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude. General maintenancework and helping within other teams will also form part of your role.
