The Academic Administrator (AA) is a critical member of the College team in the administration of the key aspects of the student life cycle with regard to records and reporting compliance.

The role requires a high energy, self-starter who is able to use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a cross functional team, working with the admission, finance, ICT, marketing and student services functions of the College to whichhe/she is attached.

The AA works with fellow Officers, to support academic team Managers in the provision of an extensive and comprehensive information management and teaching provision to students.

Position Profile

The AA will possess:

- Strong verbal and written English language communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with a variety of cultural and ethnic stakeholder groups
- Computer literacy skills inclusive of demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office suite - PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
- File management and administrative skills
- Academic experience in an HE education focused environment
- Bachelors degree to honours level
- Proactive work habits
- Proven ability as a 'team player’
- Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of task demands
- Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of student and administrative activities
- Creative thinking processes
- Commitment to self-improvement

The AA will preferably have experience of:

- Teaching environment in HE in the UK and/or offshore
- Academic interface with a multicultural clientele
- Administrative and compliance experience related to teaching quality in HE
- Postgraduate degree

Tasks
- Support assessment board and standardization meetings
- Take minutes for academic meetings
- supporting the academic teams in preparing for academic assessment board meetings
- Administrative support to the academic teams as required
- Academic quality assurance administrative support
- Reports to the academic dean
- Collate EE reports and AMRs and publish on the VLE
- Supporting the Academic Dean
- Support content creators to ensure academics receive materials in a timely manner
- Liaise with the partnerships team for partner related academic matters
