Ignata Finance are working exclusively with a leading business located near Shoreham for the recruitment of a Finance Manager. This role would suit a qualified individual that is happy to manage a small team and comfortable working remotely. This is anewly created position which has been formed to improve efficiency, accuracy and the reliability of information across the business.
The Finance Manager will lead on the month end timetable (including balance sheet reconciliations), strengthen financial controls for the business and liaise with the Business Finance Partner to produce monthly management reports.

**Responsibilities**:

- Line manager for the Assistant Accountants + Accounts Administrator
- Lead month-end closing activities to a tight deadline whilst ensuring a high standard of accuracy
- Seek, monitor and identify opportunities for process improvements - including systems
- Provide support, particularly on accounting treatment, to other members of the finance team.
- Check and sign off fortnightly supplier payments and monthly payroll.
- Preparation of statutory accounts and be main contact for external auditors
- Other statutory reporting, such as VAT returns, etc
**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Achieved a professional accountancy qualification
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and make quick decisions
- Proactive and willing to look for efficiencies and improvements
- Attention to detail and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of Access Dimensions or similar accounting system (e.g. Sage)
- Knowledge of VAT and relevant HMRC requirements
- High IT literacy - Excel (V Look Ups, Pivot Tables)
- Ability to work to strict deadlines with mínimal supervision
- High degree of personal integrity and confidence.

- You must have a robust approach to relationships, and a positive team spirit is essential.
