Horsham, United Kingdom Live & Love it Full time

Live & Love it, is a children’s therapy service supporting children aged 0-16 years and their families. Our studio is set in scenic grounds in Horsham. We strive to offer a family feel where children and families feel at home and work with us as part of their neurodiversity affirming team to achieve their goals and aspirations. When we are not in a session you will find us in our slippers, trying out games in the therapy room, taking a walk, or working on new projects.

Our team currently comprises 7 Occupational Therapist and we are now seeking to expand our services to offer Speech and Language Therapy. Our current client base would indicate that there is a need for SLT services to support:

- Gestault Language Processors
- Unrestricted access to AAC
- Children with Developmental Language Disorder
- Children who experience Selective Mutism
- Oral Praxis difficulties
- Neurodiversity affirming support to have fulfilling social interactions
- And more.

We are looking for a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist who is able to:

- Review referrals and devise bespoke assessment plans based on referral information.
- Complete assessments using a range of standardised and non-standardised tools for children age 0-16. All assessments and therapy plans at Live & Love are personalised and therapists have the autonomy to make decisions in the best interest of the families they work with, supported by their supervisor.
- Set functional strengths based goals in collaboration with families and children using child-friendly goal-setting tools.
- Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions, primarily at our studio in Horsham. The therapist will access our full range of therapy rooms in the studio.
- Devise programmes for parents and school staff to follow.
- Work in close liaison with staff in the local schools to provide advice and coaching.
- Offer collaborative coaching meetings with families to integrate therapy recommendations within the home and family life.
- Explore topics of interest and facilitate staff development within our weekly team meetings.

Live & Love it will:

- Provide the assessment tools and materials required to deliver the new therapeutic provision. The successful applicant would be involved in guiding the decision making around the tools and approaches to be used in collaboration with the directors to ensure they are in-keeping with the Live & Love it ethos.
- Provide management supervision in house and organise clinical supervision with a Speech and Language therapist.

Working week - 37.5 hour full time. With the aspiration to be family friendly for our staff, the studio is open 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Over a full time week, the finish time on each day of the week will vary to allow for slightly longer days to see children for therapy after school and where possible accommodate other staff commitments (eg. a class or family routine) by finishing earlier another day. The hours will be consistent every week. The team lunch together at approx. 12.30pm every day. Part time, or a week condensed into fewer days may be considered on a case by case basis, please contact us if you would like to discuss further.

Accessibility/Facilities - Designated parking right outside the building. There is 1 step and a threshold up into the main entrance. 3 of the therapy rooms are located up a flight of stairs.
