**Stores & Material Controller**
Applus+ is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit a Stores and Material Controller to be based at Falkirk. This role will be responsible for all aspects of the Company’s Stores to ensure the effective mobilisation, calibration and maintenance of equipment and materials on site.
**Key Responsibilities of the Stores & Material Controller include but are not limited to**:
- To carry out stock control by maintaining a register of the location and condition of all Company owned or hired in equipment and associated consumables, in accordance with Applus UK Ltd’s procedures, quality accreditation and client requirements.
- Control of all company owned equipment and consumables.
- To maintain accurate records of all company owned or hired equipment (including type, location, calibration, and maintenance requirements) by manual or electronic means.
- To undertake receipt inspection at base location of purchased equipment, PPE, and consumables in accordance with company procedures and to generate necessary records.
- To issue equipment, PPE and consumables to individuals, sites and satellite operations and maintaining relevant records.
- To ensure that arrangements are made for equipment to receive required service, maintenance, or calibration in a timely manner.
- To oversee the recertification and 6 monthly inspections of all rope access and rigging equipment.
- To maintain the equipment certification schedules in the QMS.
- To carry out NDT consumable control checks and general upkeep of equipment, facilities and stock in accordance with company requirements.
- To adhere to all company and regulatory requirements regarding Quality, Health, Safety and Environment.
- Preparation of COSHH Assessments in liaison with HSEQ.
- Arranging purchases for stores and project requirements.
- Supervising other personnel who may be engaged in stores duties from time to time for specific reasons.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are being maintained within the store and workshop areas.
**What we would like from the Stores & Material Controller**:
- Relevant Offshore/Onshore Oil and Gas industry and Inspection experience.
- Experience in a similar stores position.
- A technical background with the Inspection Services.
- A flexible approach to problem solving demonstrating initiative.
- Commitment and drive with a pro-active work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communicator at all management and Technician.
- Strong organisational skills and structured approach to fulfilling tasks.
- Excellent communication.
- Ability to perform to high Safety and Quality standards.
- Knowledge in MS packages e.g., Word Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Understanding of the purchasing, recording and distribution of equipment.
- IT literate
**Qualifications**:
- Counterbalance Forklift Operator
- PPE equipment inspector (preferred but not required)
