The main responsibilities of the HR Advisor will include: - Liaising with managers and employees regarding employee queries and issues. - Working with the HR Manager on all aspects of the employee’s lifecycle. - Leading the administration of the Society’s payroll. - Working with the HR Manager in leading training and development activities within the Society to ensure that training, developmental and regulatory needs are met. - Managing strategic HR projects under the guidance of the HR Manager. - Assisting with the administration and maintenance of all general employee benefits and arrangements. - Liaising with Marketing regarding charitable events and assisting with the communication of such events. - Level 5 CIPD qualification with 3-5 years’ experience (desirable) - Previous experience gained within a busy HR department - A high level of confidentiality and discretion due to the nature of the role - Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) and (Excel) - Excellent attention to detail - The ability to multitask, manage and prioritise own workloads while under pressure - The ability to work as part of a team and develop trusting relationships with relevant stakeholders About Us: The Buckinghamshire Building Society was founded in 1907 and as a Member owned Mutual, with no shareholders, our emphasis is firmly on providing value to existing and new Members through competitive savings and mortgage products.
