**The Role**

Bridging the gap between the BI function and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and process improvement using data automation techniques.

Responsible for requirements analysis and understanding current business processes in order to propose improved methods of working, harnessing data, reporting and automation in order to support the BI department’s key deliverables and any ad-hoc reportingrequirements. The role is expected to develop automated workflows, based upon business requirements as well as delivery of detailed documentation of new processes, overseeing project implementation and user acceptance testing.

The role will be equal parts business data analysis and development of automated reporting solutions to enable the business’ sustained growth.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Including, but not limited to:

- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify where change is required to achieve goals
- Review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
- Provide analysis relating to core business systems and related business processes
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems process improvements to aid management in making implementation decisions.

- Understanding of data model and data flows, data warehousing concepts and ETL
- Knowledge of BI and reporting platforms and for data presentation.
- Good at basic data analytics and have proficiency in Excel or SQL will be an advantage
- Extensive experience in data transition/mapping type of projects
- Good exposure to system integration activities and process re-engineering
- Able to define and Key Performance Indicator definitions from a business perspective and aid in defining these from a data perspective
