**Equity Derivatives Trader**

As a Barclays Equity Derivatives Trader, you will be a valued member of the Barclays Equity Derivatives business EMEA, this is an exciting time where you will be part of the Trading team tasked. You will be working with the senior traders on the desk to risk manage positions. Daily trading responsibilities will include; running reports for risk management purposes, Rates/FX/funding, hedging of the books, and pricing in coordination with structuring the different regions.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Working with the senior traders in the desk to risk manage positions, especially on index vega, gamma, dividends and index and cross asset correlation.
- You will be tasked with the development of new tools to improve our overall infrastructure platform
- Working as a team player on project based work involving many touch points across the Bank
- You will communicate with the rest of the Barclays index volatility trading teams in Asia and the US both across Equity Derivatives Exotics and flow
- Collaborating across desks within Markets and infrastructure, managing risk and increasing transactional efficiency

- Be organised self-starter who completes deliverables to short deadlines
- Possess a balanced skillset across numerical, legal, administrative and communication
- Have a comfortable with detail and calm in a pressured environment

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Relevant volatility and light exotic trading experience
- Experience manage positions, especially on index vega, gamma, dividends and index and cross asset correlation.
- A technical, problem solving disposition

**Where will you be working?**
5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place. It boasts an array of onsite amenities such as dry cleaner as well as a deli and buffet style staff restaurant. The building is easily accessible by tube, docklands light railway and all major bus links. The atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
