**Capability Pay Implementation Lead - Inside IR35**

**Location**:Hybrid - 2 days per week in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield or Blackpool.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:

- Run an effective welfare system that enables people to achieve financial independence by providing assistance and guidance into employment

- Create a fair and affordable welfare system which improves the life chances of children
- Deliver outstanding services to our customers and claimants
- Deliver efficiently: transform the way we deliver our services to reduce costs and increase productivity

The purpose of this role is to oversee the detailed planning and implementation of DDAT Capability Based Pay.

**As a Capability Pay Implementation Lead your main responsibilities would be to**:

- Clarify the impact to all other pay tools such as DA; RRA; Pay Award; FSP and managing the risk for Digital.
- Lead the comms to Digital Exec Team and Project SROs.
- Design and deliver Phase 1 of DDaT and build a road map for future iterations.
- Design KPIs for the project and develop the vision for the project to enable other teams to develop KPIs.
- Lead Policy Development (a)Develop DDaT Pay Policy in line with CDDO guidance and existing policies in DWP b) Update existing pay policies e.g. DA/RRA/FSP c) Develop Capability and assessment policy d) Input into Capability and assessment policies).
- Lead work with GLD on capability assessment policy and procedures and pay ranges including pay policy (including Equality Impact Analysis).
- Feed into DTUS engagement with Pay Leads.

**Essential:
- Experience of Capability Based Pay Implementation including assessments.
- Knowledge of pay and reward strategies.
- Experience of managing or leading on projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.

**Desirable**:

- Public Sector experience.
