Data Protection Officer

Data Protection Officer - reporting into the Chief Data Protection and Governance Officer (CDPGO, Global)
- Provide DP & Privacy advice and guidance to the global business, to include appropriate queries from Legal in relation to client contracts / queries, suppliers and other data-sharing relationships such as vendors and partnerships
- Maintain global policies, standards, guidance and associated documentation, updating with new legislative requirements as required
- Create DP & Privacy training materials, including high risk role training as appropriate
- Provide data protection advice for strategic global projects on behalf of the Chief Data Protection & Governance Officer, as required, to ensure a ‘one firm, one way’ approach
- Conduct and maintain gap analyses where required, including ensuring controls are agreed with CDPGO and senior management and progress is monitored on a regular basis
- With support from CDPGO, manage NCC Group’s approach to data incident and breach response for suspected incidents or breaches, including collaboration with all key stakeholders (e.g. CISO, HR, IT and Legal as required)
- Create awareness of, and training on, data governance and the interplay with DP & Privacy legislation, to ensure the business understands the value of good data management and is enabled to derive the most value from business data whilst ensuring compliance
- Support the CDPGO as required, by acting as a business-enabler across key delivery services, though engagement with data driven projects and initiatives
- Work closely with other members of the Data Protection and Governance team, providing support and guidance where required.
