**About the Role**

**Base Location**:Any SSEN location including Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth, Glasgow, Reading, West London, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex

**Salary**: £64,700- £97,100 + car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role will also be responsible for establishing and managing project management services to the delivery teams in large capital delivery, as well as PMO services to the wider Distribution business. This includes managing the Large Capital Projects (LCP) governance arrangements and overall portfolio level oversight and governance, including risk, quality and reporting.

The main responsibilities include:

- Develop, monitor and control revenue/ capital budgets for business area, ensuring that expenditure is managed in line with agreed budget and regulatory allowances.
- Developing, and the implementation of commercial and contracting strategies that will ensure we have the appropriate delivery vehicle and resources available to deliver the requirements of the portfolio plan of large capital projects and drive efficiencies through portfolio plan optimisation.
- To establish and lead an effective Project Management Office (PMO) to support capital delivery and provide PMO services to the wider Distribution business.
- Responsible for overseeing the LCP and governance arrangements for large capital delivery and ensure that they are fit for purpose and that the rigour and discipline is embedded across the delivery teams, to ensure compliance.
**What do I need?**

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Knowledge of PMO services including project controls, risk, quality and requirements to effectively govern large capital projects.
- Knowledge of Procurement and Commercial policies and processes with an understanding and working knowledge of NEC3 and other forms of contract.
- Knowledge and understanding of planning and managing multi-million-pound budgets with commercial understanding of value drivers for outperformance of the regulatory settlement.
- People management skills and significant experience of leading and motivating large teams of people through multiple organisational levels in a significantly sized business unit.
- Excellent networking and influencing skills to drive sustained improvements in compliance and profitability.
