**Wellbeing Worker - Mental Health Crisis Service**
**£23,228.00 (includes Geographical Allowance)**
Based in Southwark, the Southwark Crisis Café will offer a variety of support options dependent on people’s needs. For some, it will be a place of quiet respite, for others an opportunity to meet like-minded people and share lived experience. It will provide an opportunity to develop coping techniques, and link people in with other services in their local community.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Wellbeing Worker to be part of a team implementing and developing a brand new service providing a safe, welcoming and compassionate place for people who are experiencing mental health distress.
The team of Wellbeing Workers will drive the service forward during this exciting period. We are looking for people who have experience of working within the mental health sector, supporting those in crisis, who share the organisation’s values and truly care about improving the lives of others so that people experiencing mental distress can go on to lead the lives that they choose.
These are crucial roles for the service, who will be responsible for welcoming people into the service. Together with the clients they will help to devise plans to keep people safe, work on coping techniques, identify personal goals and will be able to connect people to resources in their local area.
There are a variety of full and part time roles available, working across evenings and weekends on a rota basis. Experience of working within the mental health sector, supporting those in crisis is essential.

**What you will offer us**
As the first point of contact for people accessing the service, you will work alongside individuals experiencing mental distress to jointly create crisis and support plans. You will be empathetic and have a non-judgemental attitude.
Able to be create a trusting environment, you will demonstrate problem-solving skills relating to housing, welfare benefits, education and relationships.
You will be confident to collaborate with professional colleagues, ensuring a safe environment by following safeguarding/escalation processes and maintaining professional boundaries.

Part-time hours: 30 per week
**Salary**: £24,023.76 per year
