London, United Kingdom Together for Mental Wellbeing Full time

The Southwark Community Sanctuary is brand new service providing a safe, welcoming and compassionate place for people who are experiencing mental health crisis.

Based in Southwark, the Southwark Community Sanctuary will offer a variety of support options dependent on people’s needs. For some, it will be a safe space to receive one-to-one support to develop coping techniques, wellbeing plans and link people in with other services in their local community. For others it will be a place of quiet respite and an opportunity to meet like-minded people and share lived experience with our peer support workers. The role will involve supporting individuals with complex and enduring mental illness and suicidal thoughts and so strong personal resilience is essential.

Delivered by Together for Mental Wellbeing, one of the UK’s oldest and most respected charities, the service will be open between 5pm and 11pm every day of the week, including Bank Holidays and 1pm - 11pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

We are looking for 1 Part time Wellbeing Worker to drive the service forward during this exciting period. We are looking for people who share the organisation’s values and truly care about improving the lives of others so that people experiencing mental distress can go on to lead the lives that they choose.

The Wellbeing Workers are crucial roles for the service. Workers will welcome people into the service. Together with clients they will help to devise plans to keep people safe, work on coping techniques, identify personal goals and will be able to connect people to resources in their local area.

If you have not heard back within two weeks of the closing date, you have been unsuccessful at this time.
