An Executive Support Team Leader/ Senior Administrator is required to be responsible for providing responsive, high quality, professional and timely executive support to the Mayor and for ensuring the Executive Support Team operates efficiently and effectively in a highly pressured environment.
You should have previous experience of competently managing a small team along with demonstrable PA experience including diary management, meeting management, correspondence and call
- handling.
You will be required to work in the office five days a week.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- To provide a responsive, high quality, professional and timely support to the Chief Executive/Corporate Directors and associated governance including responsibility for all aspects of the smooth running of meetings, from effective forward planning to attending in person to take minutes.
- To work collaboratively with the Head of Mayor’s Office to ensure that the services provided by the team are strategically aligned with other functional areas to enable a seamless approach to service delivery and to continually improve policies, procedures and processes that meet business needs.
- To maximise the use of technology to improve processes and workflow, through the identification of improvement and efficiencies, the deployment of new functionality and system enhancements to improve value for money and service provision to internal users.
- To utilise performance systems and analytics tools to monitor and support delivery on behalf of the Mayor.
- To liaise with residents and stakeholders on behalf of the Mayor.
- To manage meetings with potential developers, working with planning officers to ensure proper process is followed at all times.
- To act on behalf of the Head of Mayor’s Office in their absence.

- Experience of projects and programmes
- Demonstrable experience of competently managing a small team
- Demonstrable PA experience including diary management, meeting management, correspondence and call
- handling
- Experience of working under pressure, managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Demonstrable experience to create and sustain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders that generate confidence, respect, credibility and trust.
- Demonstrable experience of providing excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to present sensitive information clearly and concisely to a range of audiences.
