**Principal Accountabilities**
**Leadership**
- Demonstrating leadership by providing excellent customer service and building strong guest relationships.
- Developing staff members while support the growth and commercial success of the business
- Demonstrate effective leadership of the FOH team by flexing between coaching and directive leadership as appropriate
- Assisting the Restaurant Manager with the overall employee engagement; with a focus on commitment and involvement of all employees.
- Provide regular feedback to the Restaurant Manager and Operations team on quality issues
- Actively supporting the Restaurant Manager in developing and growing internal talent and support the directorate succession plan.
- Closely monitoring and coaching the FOH team to safeguard expected standards and service targets
- Assist the Restaurant Manager to carry out all health and safety checks to ensure the continuous safety of guests and staff.
- Responsible for feeding back to the Restaurant Manager in relationship to staff, quality, services & operational issues, and record any incidents through the daily log
- Assisting the Restaurant Manager in building a fully flexible team with transferable skills across all areas of the Outlet.
- Following all company procedures and compliance targets including Food Safety and Hygiene.
- Support the Restaurant manager with effective recruitment through attendance of assessment centres, while adhering to Harrods recruitment process & expectations
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring that the People Review process is adhered to for the restaurant team.
- Understand and adhere to Harrods Values and be a role model to both peers and your team.
**Sales, Service & Profit**
- Implement the Restaurants sales and service strategy through the consistent delivery of agreed actions
- Consistently review and analyse sales; and take corrective action where necessary in cohesion with the Restaurant Manager
- Assist the Restaurant Manager to ensure budgets are met and profits are maximised
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with implementing and executing stocktake control & process, optimising stock integrity, minimising wastage, monitoring margins to achieve budgeted targets
- Instil a culture of exceptional customer service through the team by constantly pushing the boundaries to enhance sales and service performance; empower all FOH and BOH employees to do everything necessary to satisfy the customer journey.
- Work in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager on menu engineering, selling prices and creating of critical pathways in relation to menu implementations.
- Daily departmental front and back of house checks on cleanliness, set up and readiness for service.
- Support the Restaurant Manager to development of the beverages menu in accordance too trends and customers’ demand.
**Operational**
- Develop and monitor the restaurant sales and service strategy within own area of responsibility; implement identified ways to enhance customer’s experience.
- Analyse and monitor the department’s service results with the Restaurant Manager (NPS & Guest Shop) & implement impactful action plans
- Following the company KPI’s in line with company procedures to achieve target
- Provide regular feedback to the Restaurant Manager on quality issues
- Responsible for implementing and delivering regular training to your team in terms of product knowledge and standards of service.
- Continuously monitoring the grooming standards of staff members.
- Responsible for adhering to all company procedures and compliance targets including food safety and hygiene.
**Other**
- Must be able to work flexibly across 5 days out of 7
- Must be flexible to work across all Café functions and operations
- Responsible for the Café cash handling procedures

**Competencies**
- Good PC literacy (word, excel and preferably SAP)
- Strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multi-task.
- Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Good attention to detail which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels.
- Strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to Harrods values.
- Ability to perform duties effectively with minimum supervision and guidance
