The Directorate provides a service to adult men and women who pose a risk of harm to others in the context of their behaviours /mental health.
Our service is underpinned by the concept of ‘Recovery’ which is not simply related to a desire to be ‘cured’ from symptoms but is seen as a process of moving forward in which a person may continue to experience symptoms but is able to focus on the same needs and activities as those without a diagnosis such as housing, work, recreation, education and social inclusion within a context of hope and optimism.
