Do you want to be part of a new exciting team that is being created within the council?
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as we build a brand-new team in our contact centre. We are looking for 7 full time permanent staff to join our team and would be open to part time applicants too. These newly created roles will be initially focused on answering queries over the telephone in regard to the councils housing services, but as the team evolves it is likely that these roles could cover other areas of the council as well, with training given for this. Existing experience in the Housing Sector is not necessary, however salary is negotiable for applicants with relevant housing knowledge.
Our Contact Centre is a fast paced, interesting and ever-changing environment, where no two days are ever the same, our team is fun to work in and we offer lots of opportunity to develop and learn new skills. This role can be undertaken at home or from one of the council offices and this can be discussed at interview.
If you have a passion for customer service, thrive on making a difference, have a positive attitude, are adaptable and can operate under pressure whilst remaining calm then this could be the job for you.
As a member of the Customer Contact Team this role is paramount in achieving the highest standards of customer service, ensuring the delivery of quality information, advice and promoting customer service excellence in line with the customer promise and philosophy.
Training covering all aspects of this role is provided by an experienced training team to ensure that staff have all the skills that are required to be successful in the role. Ongoing support and mentoring is also provided once initial training has been completed.
This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
Fairness and inclusion are at the heart of our vision for Cornwall. Whilst the location/work-base for this role has been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
