We’re looking for a Hydrotherapy Support Worker and Senior Support Worker to join our team

A fantastic opportunity to work in out Hydro therapy Centre which is part of our Community Hub Service which we provide across Lincoln.

**Salary**: £10 per hour Support Worker & £10.45 per hour Senior Support Worker

**About the Hydrotherapy Support Worker**:
We are looking for a Hydrotherapy support worker who will work at our hydro-therapy centre where we provide a support and activity centre based around the benefits of hydrotherapy. You will work as part of a support team managed by our Service Manager, the main responsibilities will be around the care of the hydro-therapy pool and its environment including health and safety, pool management, management of bookings, and payments. You will be required to work during the hours of 9 am until 5 pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility that will include some evenings, and weekends. You will also be required to promote the service offered by working with the Service Manager and the Marketing Team to actively market this valuable resource.

**A typical day as a Hydrotherapy Support Worker**:

- Be responsible for all chemicals used in the health and safety and cleanliness of the pool and its environment and the stock management.
- Ensure the pool and its environment are always kept clean and hygienic.
- The role holder must attain and retain a Level 3 Poolside Assistance qualification.
- To assist any individual to use the hydrotherapy pool in a safe manner whilst these individuals are supported in its environment.
- To assist users of the hydrotherapy service to feel safe and secure when using the facility and to assist on any occasion when a user of the service or a support member of staff requires assistance.
- Enabling and encouraging the people we support or any individual using the service to actively use our hydrotherapy service to increase their self-motivation, muscle activity, pain reduction, and general health.
- To ensure that all payments for the provision of service are taken an a deposit on booking.
- To use our online booking service to ensure slots are booked in a timely manner and encourage users to self-book using this service.
- Ensuring all support plans are in place for all Hydro Therapy customers, ensuring that reviews are undertaken and in place.
- To ensure the opening and closing of the service during the agreed opening hours and in line with health and safety guidelines and security guidelines.
- To ensure site risk assessments and service users risk assessments are completed before using the facilities and are kept up to date.
- To ensure contracts are signed and Health declarations are completed before service users use the facilities.

**Essential skills as a Hydrotherapy Support Worker**:

- Previous experience of working in a similar role with people with learning disabilities and other complex needs within a similar poolside/hydrotherapy role is essential. (Preferred training can be offered)
- Previous experience of developing individual support/care/risk management plans with learning disabilities and other complex needs in conjunction with external professionals.
- An understanding of positive behaviour support and a proven ability to work in a person-centred way.
- Experience managing a similar facility to deliver person-centred care and support would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills and adaptability to working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good people skills with the ability to provide an excep
