**Responsibilities**:

- Communications Strategy: Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will own and execute the overall communications strategy, delivering campaigns that drive brand, reputational, and commercial growth for British Skydiving.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a full-time Marketing Executive, ensuring strong team performance.
- Agency Management: Oversee the direction, output, and performance of British Skydiving’s Digital Magazine, working with external partners to ensure content aligns with the brand’s goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure brand alignment and clear communication of British Skydiving’s positioning.
- Brand Storytelling: Identify and creatively frame stories that showcase the excitement of skydiving, bringing British Skydiving’s mission to life and strengthening its reputation.
- Internal Communications: Lead member engagement strategies and manage internal communications, including working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors on their personal communication approaches.
- Brand Development: Lead efforts in British Skydiving’s brand refresh, developing a suite of multimedia content that targets diverse audiences and drives engagement.
- Content Creation: Prepare, write, and edit internal and external materials such as Annual Reports, AGM collateral, newsletters, press releases, thought leadership articles, blogs, videos, and presentations.
- Crisis Communications: Develop and communicate a robust crisis communications plan, ensuring preparedness across the board and senior leadership team.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in communications, ideally within a National Governing Body of Sport, but other roles with related experience will be considered.
- Strong experience in both internal and external communications, social/digital marketing, and member engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and commercially, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Deep understanding of social media strategy and leveraging digital platforms as part of a broader PR approach.
- Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to build and lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Experienced in managing internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring effective relationships and alignment.
- A positive, hands-on approach with the ability to deliver excellence under tight timelines and evolving conditions.
- Articulate communicator, with excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including strong copywriting and proofreading capabilities.

**Working Pattern**
- Hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office - remote working could be considered
