Cardiff and Vale University Health Board are looking to recruit Health Care Support Workers to join our Temporary Staffing Department.

The post holder will be involved in direct and indirect care of our patients in line with agreed protocols.

**Basic care duties for our patients may include**:
- Assisting patients in maintaining their personal hygiene. Helping our patients to shower/ bath, provide washing facilities access and the use of toilet facilities - promoting independence where possible.

Assisting our patients to eat and drink where appropriate.

Ensure all mandatory training requirements are kept up to date.

The post holder must ensure a good standard of infection control procedures, in accordance with our policies.

The post holder may also assist with other tasks, such as maintaining ward stocks, keeping storerooms organised, keeping clinical areas and equipment clean and tidy, and any other duties as delegated by qualified staff.

Please note, you will receive full training as part of the role.
