**Hours available**:We have **Part time** opportunities ranging from a minimum of 16 hours to a maximum of 30 hours per week, covering a 24/7 operation. Rotas available Monday to Sunday covering core hours **(early evening/overnight contracts, working between 1600-0600). **We are also **offering weekend only rota.** **What you will get**:

**Training**:
To become a licensed operator, you will receive **NHS Pathway training **(a highly advanced telephone triage tool), used for assessing, triaging and directing the public to urgent and emergency care services. **You must be able to attend every day of your training for course completion.**

We are offering both **full time and part time **classroom-based courses, which runs:

- full time Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm for **4 weeks**:

- part time **Sat & Sun (9.00am-5.00pm) including Tues, Weds, Thurs (5.00pm-9.30pm) for 6 weeks**

**Our next available dates are**:

- **Monday 7th October 2024 - full time**:

- **Saturday 19th October - part time**:

- **Monday 4th November - full time**:

- **Saturday 30th November - part time**

**What you'll be doing**

As a member of the Integrated Urgent Care team (IUC), you will be first point of contact for members of the public with a 24 hour urgent but non-emergency health concern, you will be providing advice and signposting assistance to onward care utilising the NHS Pathways triage system,

Following assessment, our health advisors can**:If they are well, advice and support on accessing local services such as general practice, dentists, pharmacies and other healthcare services,** If they have a query about their medication, immediate support from a pharmacist, or **If they are unwell or calling on behalf of a child or someone they care for who is unwell, over the-phone assessment, identification of the most appropriate care for the issue and, as appropriate, advice for managing the condition at home.** Transfer calls to our clinical assessment service which is on hand 24/7 to provide expert advice, assessment and support, preventing the need for patients to make further calls.

The training has three components:
1. Foundation training (four weeks broken down into two core modules*).

2. Audit, coaching and probation period (minimum of six weeks) followed by a one day sign off course.

3. On-going audit, development and update training.

*Core module 1 is an intensive program that requires regular evaluation, to ensure you are progressing seamlessly.

*Core module 2 consists of a case study and some practical scenarios.

You will need to achieve a score of at least 70% in order to pass.
